
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as striker. She also is captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division for women's soccer in the United States. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained by the US women's national team, along with Megan Rapinoe. [8][98][9] Morgan was selected by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early years. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league title. Morgan was 22 at the time and was the youngest player in the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and was able to join Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and record 20 assists during the same calendar year . making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was included in the Dream Team in both tournaments. In the year 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
