
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on the 25th of May, 1994. She is a retired American artist gymnast. She was captain of both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She also won a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in this competition. Raisman also earned silver medals for individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. Raisman also received silver medals in the individual all around and for floor exercise. She was also two-time champion at national level on floor exercise (2012 and 2015), the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and five times medalist in the all-around competition at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2012, 2011, and 2015). Inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
