She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. Her first employment was working in the real estate industry. It was here that she made friends with Tarek. They were very successful up until 2008, when the stock market crashed and a lot of house flippers as well as real estate investors went under. Tarek El Moussa was nearly wiped out in the 2008 financial crisis. The cost of their apartment was just $700 per week compared to the $6,000 they had been paying per month for their home. The economy and their business overall slowly regenerated. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek in 2011, asked a person to assist him with making an HGTV tape showing Christina and him flipping the house from start to the end. Pie Town Productions executives received the tape. The execs were infatuated with Christina's story of love between Tarek and Christina. The couple in 2012 reached a deal with HGTV. "Flip of Flop" w premiered in April of 2013. Between 2013 until 2017, the show aired 92 episodes over 7 seasons. The show's characters, Christina and Tarek would buy properties, typically mid-income homes situated in Orange County, and would follow up with several weeks making upgrades so they could sell the house in order to earn an income. Tarek's focus is on demolition and renovations, whereas Christina prefers design.
